There's a Beard Walnut "Philibuster" dobro for sale on Ebay. I know they were somehow connected with Phil Leadbetter but apart from that I don't know how desireable or rare they are. Interesting. http://tinyurl.com/yksy2q2
I spoke with Paul Beard this afternoon and he mentioned that there were only 4 built. There's 1 in Georgia, 1 in England and Phil and Matt's guitars in Tennessee. It's a large body with no baffle. Commentary on the price was that at $2500 it would be a good deal, at $3500 that's a little rich. I also mentioned the E model for sale on Ebay from California, $2499 opening bid with a $2799 Buy it now price. He suggested setting aside an additional $200 and sending either model to him at Beard and have them "refresh" them with the latest details and acoutrements.
He also mentioned in passing of a new E model he showed at the IBMA. It's a regular E model without binding and flaming or other premium finish for $3200 as opposed to the regular E model at $3700. I guess it's the Beard Stimulus Package. The E model would still have a life time warranty and all the other benefits of Beard ownership.

Considering that one's in Knoxville, I'd reckon it's either Phil's or Matt's guitar.

I have played a philibuster and I can tell you 2 things, They are VERY heavy and I just plain don't like em! But then again I never liked walnut guitar really, But if your a walnut fan I guess they are good guitars I think they look really good though. One has to ask himself as I did "why did they not make anymore than 4?" I'm about 90% sure thats Matt Leadbetters guitar
