Gang:

 

I will be working in San Carlos, CA for a few months (traveling back and forth from Minneapolis) - looking for some musical activity to keep me sane - jams, hanging out, local gigs - that kind of thing.

 

Got a message from Coupe and MarkinSonoma thru JD board - but direct email contact isn't supported over there...

Check out the SF dobro club - a Yahoo group.  Lots of folks in the greater SF Bay area.  They get together several times a year for jams, mini-workshops.  You should be able to find folks to play with there.  A number of them are members here on RN, as well.

Santa Clara Fiddlers' Association has a monthly jam at Hoover Middle School in San Jose on the 1st Sunday of each month.

There are many jams in the SF Bay Area.  check out

http://cbaontheweb.org/calendar/index.aspx

and search for jams.

I try to get to McGraths in Alameda every Monday night.  There are many excellent players there and the jams generally stay on track.
