Anyone heard of this technique which I understand involves working the top edge of the cone with a round wooden stick or dowel to enhance sound (this must work harden the cone). I was told by a friend that Gene Wooten did this to his cones and swore by it. I don't know that I'm rich enough to experiment with this sort of thing at $$ a pop but am curious about this bit of dobro-lore after hearing about it.
