For some reason, getting ready for Reso-Summit put me in a mood to listen to Resocasters again - what a great dobro CD. Anyway, I got hooked this time on Charmaine and thought I would chart it out. The original idea was to chart all choruses - the head and the breaks - but work got in the way and I ran outta time.
So, here is draft one of Charmaine...someone with the CD handy can clue us in on who played the lead on it - it may have been Mike Auldridge or maybe Jimmy Heffernan.
I love how much this tune swings - I esp. like the change at measure 20.
I tried to strike a middle ground between capturing nuance and phrasing and just copping the head.
Let me know if I got something horribly wrong (or even mildly wrong) - I can correct pretty easliy.
Sorry it aint in TAB - I always work from standard notation, and producing the TAB involves making specific decisions on fret/string combo that I haven't sorted yet enough to write down.
