I had a local band ask me to help them out at a little 2 hour job last night. Man, did I get my head handed to me. Turns out I was the only lead instrument. A bass player to loud and didn't know half the songs. Imagine what that was like. This was the first time I've really played outside the house other than jams. They started one song I didn't know and I said so. One of the guitars players said, play it enough and you will. It was quite an experience but I can't say I had a good time. After two hours I was exhausted.
Anybody have any pointers on a lead for Kansas City. That ain't my music.
Woke up this morning with a headache from hell. What a two hour night.
