***SOLD*** Scheerhorn R-Body Maple 1993 w/OHC

For sale rare R-Body maple Scheerhorn resonator guitar #073 completed 12/5/93. I purchased the guitar from Larry Miller, the original owner, in 1999 in mint condition (did not appear to have ever been played before 1999). The guitar is in very good shape and has seen about 3000 hours of playing in the years 1999-2006. Since then I've been using my L-body as the work-horse. This is way too nice a guitar to leave in the closet, so I'm offering to my RN friends before taking other measures... This well broken in guitar has THE R-body tone: perfectly balanced throughout range, very pronounced volume & sustain & well-behaved on stage in the studio. Typical of older Scheerhorns of this vintage, it can be the onjab killer or the sweet/mellow tone machine. This guitar is a player, not a museum piece. It comes with normal wear on fan coverplate, several dings. Screens punched out of tone rings. All original except for McIntyre feather pickup/end pin jack (included), Ebonex inserts/newer bone nut (both by Tim ~2004). Maple on back is very unique and forms a hidden picture of the 'Shroud of Turin'...no extra charge ;). Original hardshell tweed case is in very good condition..handle could stand to be re-conditioned. I feel a fair market value of the guitar is $6000. Since the guitar has some dings, and the screens/coverplate are not perfect, and the case handle could use work, I'm willing to take off $500. I feel this is adequate to repair/replace all of the above issues. Sale price is $5500. I don't buy or sell guitars often, so I don't know about payment methods/insured shipping costs etc. So I'd appreciate some help on those matters. Call or email for additional photos and sound clips.
